Comforting and professional day care
We adhere to a maximum number of children that attend the day care only once a week. This quota minimalizes diversification for the children, maximizes the stability in the group and reduces the workload for our pedagogical employees. Kinderdagverblijf Marijke is made up of a team of more than 20 pedagogical employees, a location manager and two household support employees.
Easily accessible
Kinderdagverblijf Marijke is easily accessible by car and public transportation (tram, bus and metro stop within walking distance). Customers of our locations can make use of the Excelsior parking lot for pick-up and drop-off. Access to the parking lot is free for the first 45 minutes.
Toddler gym
Sufficient exercise ensures good health. Group activities are excellent for developing social skills. SKK believes exercise is important and therefore offers gym sessions for all the toddler groups. Our sports teacher offers these gym sessions one or two times a week, alongside a permanent pedagogical employee!
Green location
Kinderdagverblijf Marijke is located on Honingerdijk in the Rotterdam district of Kralingen, next to the Speeltuin Kralingen and our after-school care De Speeltuin. The sports fields at Excelsior Sport Club and the nearby Arboretum Trompenburg offer plenty of opportunities for outings and activities.
Outdoor play area and vegetable garden
Kinderdagverblijf Marijke has a large, green outdoor play area with a vegetable garden where children can harvest their own fruits and vegetables. Our baby groups have access to a baby balcony where they can peek through low windows, to see what is happening at the Excelsior Sport Club.

Full day care
The full day care groups at KDV Marijke are open all year round, with the exception of national holidays.The standard opening hours of the location are from 8:00 to 18:00 (BASIS). You can also make use of various packages with extended hours. Please see the rates and packages under the tab Rates.

Daycare Marijke will be closed on the following days in 2024:
Easter Monday: Monday April 1th
Ascension Day: Thursday May 9th
Whit Monday: Monday May 20th
Policy Day: Friday October 18th
Sinterklaas: Thursday December 5th, all locations close at 16:00
Christmas: Wednesday December 25th
Boxing Day: Thursday December 26th
New Years Eve: Tuesday December 31th, all locations close at 16.00
New Years Day: Wednesday, January 1th
At our day cares, parents can choose a package of a minimum of 10 hours per day. Many other organizations only offer packages of more than 10 hours a day, even though parents may not need more hours. If you do, however, require a package of more than 10 hours a day, you have the option to choose a package with extended hours. This ensures that you only pay for what you need and actually purchase.
The hourly rate at KDV Marijke is € 10,43 in 2024. Rates include diapers and a sandwich lunch.
The hourly rate for the packages including a warm meal is € 10,68 in 2024.

Childcare allowance
You can apply for the childcare allowance from the tax authorities via www.toeslagen.nl. For this you also need to fill in the LRK number 770078722 of Kinderdagverblijf Marijke.
