The Montessori Peutergroep Kralingen (MPK) is made up of a team of 2 pedagogical employees and a location manager. The MPK is registered as a day care in the National Register of Childcare (LRK). Parents who make use of the MPK are therefore entitled to childcare allowance. You can check whether you are eligible for childcare allowance at www.toeslagen.nl. The toddler care at the MPK is, however, not eligible for a government subsidy as the MPK does not work with a certified program for early childhood education (VVE). VVE is education for toddlers and preschoolers with a language deficiency.

Preparation for primary school

Our toddler group focuses on learning, playing and development. We offer a variety of activities in small groups and emphasize the importance of social interactions. At the MPK, we give children the room to grow, to discover new things and learn to interact with peers. Our MPK is the ideal preparation for primary school.

Unique outdoor area

Montessori Peutergroep Kralingen (MPK) is a preschool for children from 2 to 4 years. The MPK is housed in a red and white, wooden building (the log cabin) on the grounds of Speeltuin Vereniging Kralingen. The children have access to a cosy group room and a beautiful outdoor play area adjacent to the Arboretum.

Montessori

Maria Montessori used the motto ‘help me to do it myself’. This is an important starting point for our toddler group. The toddlers can discover the world with designated Montessori material, and have access to a variety of craft materials and a doll corner. The adjacent playground offers the children the opportunity to further develop their motor skills.

Openings hours MPK

Montessori toddler group Kralingen is only open during school weeks.

The standard opening time is from 8:00 to 12:30.
At the MPK you can choose from two groups with fixed day combinations: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Monday, Wednesday, Friday (both groeps incl. lunch!) You cannot choose a different day combination because we consciously work with fixed groups of children.

The MPK is closed during all school holidays. Further closing days in 2022 are:
Easter Monday: Monday, April 18, 2022
King's Day: Wednesday, 27 April, 2022
Whit Monday: Monday, 6 June, 2022
SKK Policy Day: Friday, 14 October 2022

On friday 14 oktober has SKK its annual SKK Policy Day. All locations are closed that day!

The hourly rate at the Montessori Peutergroep Kralingen in 2022 is € 8,11.

Childcare allowance

Through www.toeslagen.nl You can apply for the childcare allowance from the tax authorities.
To do so, you will need to fill in the following LRK number for the Montessori Peutergroep Kralingen: 228890809.
