Comforting and professional care for your child (2-4 years old)
The Montessori Toddler Group Kralingen consists of a team of two pedagogical employees and a location manager. The Toddler Group is registered as a day care in the National Register of Childcare (LRK). Parents who make use of our Montessori day care are therefore entitled to childcare allowance.
You can check whether you are eligible for childcare allowance at www.toeslagen.nl. The toddler care at the Montessori Toddler Group is, however, not eligible for a government subsidy as we do not work with a certified program for early childhood education (VVE). VVE is education for toddlers and preschoolers with a language deficiency.
Preparation for primary school
Our toddler group focuses on learning, playing and development. We offer a variety of activities in small groups and emphasize the importance of social interactions. At the Montessori Toddler Group, we give children room to grow, to discover new things and learn to interact with peers. Our toddler group is the ideal preparation for primary school.
Unique outdoor area
Montessori Toddler Group is a preschool for children from 2 to 4 years. We are housed in a red and white wooden building (the “log cabin”) on the grounds of Speeltuin Vereniging Kralingen. The children have access to a cosy group room and a beautiful outdoor play area adjacent to the Arboretum.
Montessori care
for toddlers
Maria Montessori used the motto ‘help me to do it myself’. This is an important starting point for our toddler group. The toddlers can discover the world with designated Montessori material, and have access to a variety of materials. The adjacent playground offers the children the opportunity to further develop their motor skills.
Montessori Toddler Group Kralingen is only open during school weeks.
The standard opening time is from 8:00 to 12:30.
At the toddler group we only have one group with fixed day combinations:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (incl. lunch!)
You cannot choose a different day combination because we consciously work with fixed groups of children.
Our toddler group is closed during all school holidays.
Further closing days in 2024 are:
Easter Monday: Monday, April 1,
Ascension Day: Thursday May 9th
Whit Monday: Monday May 20th
Policy Day: Friday October 18th
The hourly rate at the Montessori Toddler Group Kralingen in 2024 is € 9,30.

Childcare allowance
Through www.toeslagen.nl you can apply for the childcare allowance from the tax authorities.
To do so, you will be asked to fill in the following LRK number for the Montessori Peutergroep Kralingen: 228890809.
